When people come in and they see that we’re these two young sisters that started this company and we make cheese;  they see we have this big beautiful window where they can stand there and watch their cheese being made… They really get a sense that they’re connected to the product. It’s a personal connection that we get to make with every single customer because they feel like they know us and they feel like they know their cheese-maker… that’s something that’s really special to us.
Van Koji Foods

Vankoji Founder, Tonami, began selling Shiokoji in 2013 at the Nikeii Japanese culture center. She discovered Shiokoji while making her own koji (a powdery fungus grown on rice) for home made miso-paste. After reading about shiokoji’s popularity back in her homeland, Tonami decided to introduce it to local Canadians.

Bees Knees Microgreens

Bee’s Knees Microgreens grows high quality microgreens and specialty greens for restaurants and farmers markets in the Fraser Valley. 

Our microgreens are grown in our greenhouse in South Surrey using certified organic, non GMO seed sourced in Canada. All of our crop is grown in soil, using natural practices without synthetic fertilizers. 

We strive to provide the freshest, most nutrient-dense produce for our customers and community.

The Raw Guy

Brian is a graduate of the world renowned “Living Light Culinary School”. It was here that he was able to train with the best Raw Culinary Chefs and Facilitators from around the world. He possesses certificates as a Gourmet Raw Food Chef and Facilitator as well as being an Advanced Raw Food Nutrition Educator.

 

He continues to build on his learnings by attending culinary conferences, attending and participating in a varietal of different food shows and working with several local vendors and growers to maintain the highest possible product knowledge and standards as he truly realizes the benefits to a raw, organic and vegan way of life. As of this writing you can find Brian and his products at various farmer’s markets, stores and events throughout the lower mainland.
